Rolf RaveArt and artist are the salt in every soup.

ARE YOU AN ARCHITECT?
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU?
WHAT ABOUT DRESDEN?
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?
FUTURE?

I´m feeling like an architect with skin and hair. As I was a boy of eleven years I made the first sketches of floor plans of palaces. First I was inspired by Schinkel, later by Bauhaus, Le Corbusier and Eiermann.
The dialogue between rule and freedom, the place and the surroundings, the room and the reference axles was important to me.
Those points are to experience at our project in Dresden for everybody who is attentive. It is the playing together of all elements which shows the totality of the work.
Our society is still on bad terms with the modernism. The fate of each project is depending from the playing together of all participating persons.
The project of art’otel  und art’bureau in the Ostraallee was a good one in this way: Art and artist are the salt in every soup. That knows the investor, Dirk Gädeke, and it is not decorating accessories - it is programme.
